Venue

Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow is located about 30 minutes by tram or bus from the Old Town. Address: ul. Prof. Stanisława Łojasiewicza 11, 30-348 Kraków

Public transport

Public transportation in Cracow is safe, fast and relatively cheap. Below you can find some tips how to find your way around. We will provide you with the one week tickets that you can use both in buses and trams within the entire city.

To get to the conference on the first day the best choice is a 60-minute ticket (5 PLN). It covers majority of one way trips in Cracow. The ticket must be validated at the start of your trip (onboard tram/bus). It is valid in all trams and most buses. Ticket machines can be found at many stops and in most vehicles (if there is no ticket machine in a vehicle, the driver should sell you a ticket). Stationary machines accept cash and credit cards. In vehicles, some accept only coins while others only cards.

Please take into account that the Airport is located outside the city limits, therefore you need to buy a special ticket for "Strefa I+II" (inner+outer zone).

WiFi

In many places in Cracow you can find free Internet access. In the Faculty buildings there is Eduroam active. If you have access to Eduroam in your institute, please check if it is properly installed and configured on your laptop before the trip. It might be not possible to configure it later.
